A Big Thank You From Mark H. Fowler, Chair, CalCPA Society’s LA MAP Committee
On June 23rd, we held our 2-hour live presentation via Zoom (12 noon to 2 pm PST), presented by our Co-Chair, Allan Fisher, and his Premier Financial Search team member Deanna Gutierrez. This Survey is the third year we have presented the annual salary survey. It gets better every year. Below, we highlight key components.
This year, Allan took the Survey to a new level when he expanded reporting to go beyond the numbers to talk about the impact of COVID, remote working plus remote workers from out of state, trends in raises, team members engaged after the pandemic are now looking for new horizons and on and on. It was a real education of salary/compensation impact and, also, of how our lives are changing.
What is the CalCPA Salary Survey?
The survey consists of a selection of questions that we send only to CPA firms within the state of California. This survey asks a range of questions that will provide us with information regarding the following:
- Current salaries of all staff members
- Salary increases/decreases made within the past year
- Overtime hours and rates
- Charge hours and billing rates
- Employee benefits
- What firms are doing with ‘work from home’ and Remote Work
Thank you to Allan, Deanna and the 81 plus attendees with all the great questions that they put forth. Just a reminder, our next meeting is July 28th.
Please join us June 2022 for our 2022 Salary Survey.
