Los Angeles MAP & Orange County/ Long Beach MAP:

Position CPA Firms For Greater Success — “Lessons Learned” + New Approaches For The Future

Join our Los Angeles MAP Committee on September 29th as we collaborate with the Orange County/Long Beach MAP Committee to present a unique event… a 5-firm panel discussion on all aspects of being successful during continued COVID-19 challenges, previous and future Tax Seasons, reaching out to clients and overall Firm Success—including Succession & Exit Planning. Our panel of Managing Partners and Solo Practitioners will participate in an interactive discussion of what they learned and applied to navigate challenges now and in the future.

As a participatory and interactive group, we will explore together these and other topics:

  1. image of businessmanWhat operational changes still need to be made?
  2. What succession challenges are coming into play? Who is on 1st?
  3. What additional team-building opportunities have been employed? What works and what doesn’t?
  4. How have AI and IT continued to add value to needs of firms and individuals?
  5. What additional challenges arrived that possibly made Tax Season as difficult as it has ever been?
  6. How has remote work production continued to change? What future changes are anticipated?
  7. What protocols have been put in place to help increase tax processing effectiveness, given new regulatory processing procedures? Are you outsourcing services to stay current?
  8. How have clients changed toward us and toward themselves as we move into future Tax Seasons?
  9. What impact have vaccinations had on working together?
  10. What new practice areas are evolving?
  11. What additional client needs are becoming more prominent?
  12. What experiences during COVID-19 have made the biggest impacts on operating now and in the future?

The panel consists of CPA firm leaders from across the state and Paul Nienow (Orange County/Long Beach MAP Chair) and Mark Fowler (Los Angeles MAP Chair) will lead the panel discussion.

It is essential to reach out together to acquire more ideas and additional operational tips for all our benefits. To expand ideas and points of view that can add more value, we have created a panel of CPA firms from several different Chapters.

Tap into experiences of leaders in the profession as to how they navigated their firms successfully through one of our planet’s most difficult times. Learn about what has been taking place during shelter-in-place seasons with client interaction and how many firms re-engineered their practices to go to a higher level of service with clients.

Looking forward to your participation!
