February 23rd, 12 p.m. — 1:30 p.m. (PST) Los Angeles MAP Committee Presentation: Position CPA Firms for Greater Success “Lessons Learned” New Approaches for The Future—Follow-Up

Join our Los Angeles MAP Committee as we follow-up on our powerhouse September 2021 collaboration with Orange County MAP Committee and our joint 5-firm panel discussion on aspects of being successful during continued COVID-19 challenges for previous and future Tax Seasons while reaching out to clients for overall Firm Success—including Succession & Exit Planning. Our February 2022 5-firm panel of Managing Partners and Solo Practitioners expands on previous discussions to bring new ways to adapt, thrive and succeed. It is about navigating challenges plus getting ahead of the curve, so the future is more in our control.

As a participatory and interactive group, the Panel, led by Mark H. Fowler, LA MAP Chair, will explore together these and other topics:

  1. What operational changes still need to be made?
  2. What succession opportunities are coming into play? Who’s on 1st?
  3. What additional team-building opportunities have yet to be explored? What’s working and what can we tap into?

  7. What new protocols are in place to help increase tax processing effectiveness, given new regulatory processing procedures? Are you outsourcing services to stay current? Are Independent Contractors still a viable solution?
  8. How have clients changed toward us and toward themselves as we move into future Tax Seasons?
  9. What impact has the new COVID variants had on working together? What new approaches have been considered?
  10. What new practice areas are evolving?
  11. What additional client needs are becoming more prominent?
  12. What experiences during COVID-19 have made biggest impacts on operating now and in the future?
