The California Society of CPAs’ Los Angeles Chapter’s Management of Accounting Practices Committee (“MAP Committee”) is again pleased to host the CalCPA Annual Salary Survey—this is our 4th year.
LIVE presentation via Zoom on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, is from 12 noon to 2 pm PST. The Survey and commentary will be presented by our Co-Chair, Allan Fisher, and his Premier Financial Search team. This presentation will consist of a 90-minute discussion of the survey results plus a 30-minute moderated Q & A section.
This is a very special event as Allan and his team have put together a solid analysis and an exceptional presentation. But it is Allan’s commentary and insights that make this event the unique presentation and interaction that it has come to be. We are honored that Allan has chosen our venue to make this important information available to CalCPA members.

What is the CalCPA Salary Survey?
The survey consists of a selection of questions that are sent only to CPA firms within the state of California. This survey will ask a range of questions that will provide us with information regarding the following:
- Current salaries of all staff members
- Salary increases/decreases made within the past year
- Overtime hours and rates
- Charge hours and billing rates
- Employee benefits
- What firms are doing with ‘work from home’ and Remote Work.
Once the survey information is collected, the results are compiled, data stratified, and organized into a color PDF and made available to survey participants. This data is displayed and measures the central tendency and variability for CPA firms across the state of California. The data can further be used:
- To compare your firm’s numbers to other firms throughout California
- As a tool or guide for hiring as well as salary reviews
Last year, we had 47 firms participate, we expect even more in 2022. The salary statistics will be broken down:
- Southern & Northern California city areas
- Traditional & Business Management Firms
